I had expected these lights to be “plug and play”, however, they need to be soldered to the wiring harness. The instructions are a bit murky, so I suggest you temporarily just twist wires together using the supplied wire nuts, and plug into your trailer light socket to test everything first; then solder and use waterproof heat shrink on the solder joints. There don’t seem to be any instructions for how to wire the yellow side/marker lights, but I’m probably not going to use those anyway. However, it would be nice if they’d mentioned how, or even IF, you can use them with the supplied harness. I’m just adding these lights to a bike rack on a trailer hitch receiver. The harness wouldn’t be long enough for a trailer much longer than 4-5 feet, so keep that in mind. I don’t ever expect to submerge these lights, but hopefully they’ll be rain-proof. At leas where the wires exit the back of each taillight, they seem to be sealed with hot glue. Time will tell.

The wiring on these lights did not last a year. The wire comes apart and causes the lights to not work correctly. Waste of Money!! Lights were very bright and was very happy with them to begin with. But now that they are basically worthless, I will need to purchase a new set. The wires dry out and crack. The actual wire itself falls apart. DO NOT BUY!!!

So my 15 year old 4×8 utility trailer from TSC, needed some lights as the ones on it, quit working. At first glance this kits lights seems as if they are kinda the same type of lights as the ones on the trailer. But the spacing on the rear lights mounting studs isnt exactly the same as the old ones. And it required drilling a 1/2 diameter hole for the wires to go thru the steel angle iron mounting bracket, that wasnt fun. Front clearance lights dont mount the same as the OE lights. The front clearance lights are pretty light duty plastic, and the screws provided for their mounting are worthless. In the end they worked, but it took four hours to install the kit. Time will tell if they are good in the wet, as I havent had a chance to use the trailer yet.

Rewired my 4×8 Teske utility trailer (Farm&Fleet) with these newer style LED. One of the original incandescent bulbs burnt out and the harness needed replacing, so it was a good time to upgrade.
