Needed bigger dust caps for my 2018 Ford F-150 which I installed new LED bulbs for both my lower and high beams in headlight. The factory dust covers are great if you are using factory a Halogen bulbs. LED bulbs with the cooling fans don’t allow the factory flat style caps to seat perfect. With this heavy rain recently my passenger side headlight has been getting moisture. When removing the factory dust caps I’m finding water underneath. Tried other dust caps and they didn’t fit properly, these actually fit with a little hand work behind the fender to access the headlight housing, low beams were harder to install then high beam just simply due to the tightness behind the lamp. Will see if the moisture stops now with these. Also helps with adding room behind the LED bulbs cooling fans so now they can breath alittle bit. Since heat is an LED’S worst Enemy! Hopefully these will keep moisture out! As for fitting on a 2018 Ford F-150, these 83mm fit great! Don’t even have to use any tie wraps with these, once there on they aren’t going anywhere.6/29/19 Update: these rubber dust caps work!! I had water moisture in my left headlight due to oem caps not sealing enough due to the extended cooling fan on my LED light bulbs. These caps sealed so good they caused the moisture not to escape! Had to remove and let the moisture dry first then reinstalled caps. After that the headlights have not gotten any moisture in them since even through heavy rain or car washing. Also allow better airflow for cooling fans on my LEDs which I have in both high and low beams. Worth every dollar they cost.Update 7/20/19: have had these dust caps for awhile now on my 2018 Ford F-150. In the beginning I was getting even more moisture in my headlights but that’s because these dust caps were working so well and I had moisture in the headlights still from when I had my oem dust caps. So I had to take them off and let the headlights dry completely, then reinstall the dust caps. Once I did that I have not had any moisture what so ever! And it’s raining season in Florida and I am constantly washing my truck. I use to get moisture in then all the time due to my upgraded LED bulbs which are bigger then oem bulbs and were causing the dust caps to not stay on completely letting in some water. Not the cause now.

Installed on 2015 F-150 with factory halogen headlight assemblies as part of an LED conversion. Stock halogen H11 and 9005 bulbs my truck came with very shallow and used very shallow rubber socket covers. The LED are much larger due to the heatsinks and driver packs they come with. These aftermarket rubber caps fit perfectly and the added space afforded by the very tall domes gives plenty of room for the heatsinks and the drivers. My assemblies are pretty sophisticated design and have lots of dead air space between the individual reflectors and the exterior of the assembly so I am not concerned with heat being trapped. Other wise I would have looked for a rubber seal that sealed around the heatsinks while allowing them to poke though the center for ambient air cooling. Anyway, these are the correct diameter and height for my F-150 reflector style LED bulb conversion. Just be sure to secure them with a tight zip tie wrapped around the cuff.

I have a 2019 F-150 and upgraded the pretty lousy OEM lighting with GTR Ultra 2 LEDs for HB, LB & Fog Lights (great LEDs BTW). The GTRs have a fan heat-sync and are a bit larger than OEM and just fit within the LB housing (top one) with about ⅛ to ¼ inch spacing. This isn’t enough space to reinstall the Ford OEM dust covers. Enter these dust covers…they fit perfectly: snug, secure and reassuring to me that dust and moisture won’t be entering the headlight housing and damaging my new LED headlights. If you find yourself in this situation, don’t lament – get these and you’ll be super happy about the quality and fit.

**Be aware!! If you’re looking to install LEDs over your stock Halogens for your F-150 don’t make the mistake of purchasing the LEDs and not getting these covers. I made that mistake and what ends up happening is because the LEDs backing is too big to sit in the housing so the stock rubber covers that your truck comes with doesn’t sit flush and ends up allowing condensation to get into the headlight, i had to rig up a idea to get the condensation out by placing a silica packet on a coat hanger and let it sit and absorb the condensation in the headlight. Trust me you don’t want that happening and luckily for me i had gotten the condensation out of the headlight and have been done ever since. This cover allows you to have the LEDs in place but will allow the rubber cover the headlight insert so nothing will get inside.

Worked perfect on my 2017 F150! The high beam led bulbs sat centered and low enough in the headlight housing to reuse the factory dust covers, but the low beams were a different story…. the led bulbs I bought had fans on the back which once installed sat about flush with the housing which did not provide room for cooling with the dust cover on, plus they didn’t sit centered in the hole, they actually almost touched the top of the hole, so the factory dust covers wouldn’t seat all the way around. These covers give plenty of room for cooling, plus they fit around the outside of the housing instead of the inside, which was perfect for my problem! About the only negative is they are a little thin, although I don’t foresee that being an issue. They weren’t too easy or too hard to get on, so hopefully they will keep sealed well, I will update my review if they do not. Very happy for now!

These fit perfectly on my 2016 F150. I replaced the low beams for LED and the heat sink was too close to the top of the housing for the factory dust covers to seat properly. These go on the outside of the housing vs the inside lip.

I swapped my halogen low beams to LEDs and this boot fit provides extra room for the LED heat sink/fan

Easy to install. It may be fine but it feels a millimeter or two loose. If you count one too small it would be a major Pia to put on though. The material is very durable and well made.
