OK, I am not using this for the kinda overly flashy car exterior use it is marketed for.Rather I am using it as a 12v work-light setup under the hood. It works great for that, provides ample light. In under the hood you can power it with add a fuse from an always on (it is very low draw) using inline quick disconnect to switch on and off, or a in-line switch, or if you want to get fancy, a magnetic switch so it turns on when you open hood. If you are using this inside the hood, do check what area of your hood is least hot. I stayed along front area inside hood and not over engine or near exhaust manifold.

This is an excellent led strip light for vehicles. Nice long size to fit nearly any hood. Exactly as described and shown in the pictures and videos. I love the lighting effect when first turning it on. Nice and bright. Works great and looks great. Highly recommended!

This light strip is bright and is actually really easy to install with 2 wires and 3m tape. It would be nice if it did include some instructions because for some it may be a bit daunting to work with electronics.

I was not able to install it in my car as of yet due to cold weather, but once it gets warmer, I will certainly install it. I tested it out at home, and it seems to be very bright. However, there is a lack of directions in the box (only printed on the back of the packaging) which might be confusing for some people. Although I know I need to tap into my headlight and ground the black wire, the lack of directions is fine with me. I will update with pictures soon!

I’ll start by saying that I was apprehensive about this product, as the “fad” of LED lighting, under-glow lighting, etc, is way over-played in my opinion. I find this product to be different in that it results in an almost factory-like appearance to the front of your vehicle, and the start-up effect is particularly cool. I also really like that when installed, this lights up as a solid “bar” and not individual LEDs (which looks cheap in my opinion).Installation is very simple, it attaches with double-sided tape, and requires only a power wire and ground wire. Mine came with no instructions of any kind, but if you’re handy around cars then installation will be no problem for you.Overall – highly recommended if you’re looking for this type of product, or are looking to add a little something extra to your car.
