Long review but hopefully helpful. I have a 2012 F250 Lariat that had a headlight bulb go out on the passenger side. I looked at new halogen Sylvania bulbs like what were in it already but thought this may be a good time to upgrade to LED if I could find good ones for around the same price. I started learning what I could about LEDs and found out there is a lot more to consider when switching to LED than I thought. It can be confuaing and pricing was all over the place. I have tried to leave a lot of info in this review for both these LEDs and LED headlights in general. Hopefully this info can help you out if you’re just now starting to look into LEDs for your vehicle. Here is a little of what I learned before ordering these…The light temperature/color is important to consider. Most halogens are in the 3500 to 4500 range which is a little yellowish. LEDs usually offer choices in the temp range from 4000 to 7000 and even higher. I read that a sunny day at noon is around 5500k so shooting for around 5500 to 6000 is a good idea if you want a white light. 6500 is at the top end of white before it begins turning to blue but it is still white. These LEDs look white to me, I’m not seeing any blue in these and they are advertised as 6500. If you go much higher than 6500-7000 than you may begin to see blue. I also read that you can actually lose visible light in the blue spectrum so even a higher lumen rating blue light can look dimmer than a lower lumen rating white/yellow light. The F250 I have is a reflector headlight, not a projector, so that meant I should probably look at 2 or maybe 3 sided LEDs for my style of reflector instead of 4 sided. If you have projector headlights you may want to research what kind of LED would be best in your headlight before just ordering any you find with good reviews. Also I wanted the LEDs themselves to be positioned on the chip roughly where the hot spot of the filament on my old bulb was so the light would hit the reflector in the same places as the old bulb. If I chose poorly I could be one of those jerks who blinds everybody by reflecting the light into the eyes of oncoming drivers. This 2 sided LED would reflect correctly in my headlight as long as I faced the LEDs to the left and right, not up and down. Fyi, that is what the set screw helps with. If you install the light and the LEDs face the wrong way than you can remove the set screw, spin the “bulb” in the housing and tighten the set screw back. These installed correctly in my truck without messing with the set screw but it looked easy to do if I needed to do it.I read about the possible issues with vehicle computers telling you your lights are out when they’re not. My truck does not have the lights talking to the computer so I cannot speak to that working or not with these LEDs. If you have warning lights on your dash that tell you when a bulb is out than you should make sure these CAN Bus LEDs will work with your year, make and model of vehicle before ordering. Some have issues with flickering LEDs due to wattage differences among other things but I can say I do not have that issue at all with these. I have a steady bright light all the time. The only time a see a flicker at all is when I crank the motor over to start, they flash while the truck is starting but that is the only time I’ve seen anything but steady light.LEDs need to be cooled or they will burn out fast. Different manufacturers use different cooling options, the 2 I’ve seen are fans and heatsinks. These have fans on them. Some dislike fan cooling and some are not bothered by it, it does not bother me on my truck. The fan needs to run to cool the light so if the fan goes out, the LED will most likely fail quickly. The fan is another failure point, consider that, but it seems the fans work pretty well from what I’ve read. The fans on these have worked perfectly for months. Some don’t like the noise the fans make but I only hear it after I shut the truck off, it runs for a few seconds to cool down. If you turn the ignition on without cranking the motor you’ll probably hear the fans kick on too but I don’t find it annoying for my every day use. I can’t hear them at all while the motor is running but I do have a diesel, not sure if you could hear the fans over a gas engine or not, I doubt it though. After all the studying I decided if I could find a decent LED set in the 5500-6500 color temp range for less than 50 bucks I would try them out. These seemed like a good choice based on reviews and all the other factors I was looking for so I ordered them. I am glad I did! Installing them was really as easy as installing any other bulb. The LED fit the socket well and the plug adapter plugged in to my wiring harness correctly minus one small issue. The plug did not click into my harness, just slid on but could easily slide off too. I put some cable ties on it so it wouldn’t be able to rattle loose. Other than that little issue, the install went very well. Before changing the old light on the driver side I put some tape on my garage wall where the old bulb hot spot was showing along with the new LED light on the passenger side. You can see that dimmer yellowish halogen and blue tape on the left and bright white light on the right n the first pic. The second pic is with both new LEDs installed. I wanted to make sure these LEDs would stay pretty close to my original beam pattern so I wouldn’t blind people. Once installed, I turned them on and the beam pattern was pretty much perfect, landed right in that taped area on my wall. I was impressed with that first and then the brightness, wow, they are bright. I don’t anticipate using the high beams often but there is a noticeable difference between low and high beam, the high throws the light higher and farther as it should. After months of use and over 5000 miles towing a fifth wheel camper across 8 states everything is still great, I have no complaints. I’m not getting any flashing from on coming cars and the LEDs are working perfectly, nice bright white light. I can see a lot better now at night, a little more peace of mind while driving the family around. Over all, these are a great price and seem to be very good quality to me.

projects well, high beams work great, no one flashes me when there’s oncoming traffic, light is much brighter and objects are.much more visible! I purchased these specifically because the dude from wayalife has them in his gladiator. worth the shot, great product so far!

Bought these as an upgrade for my 2007 Ford Explorer Sport trac, factory halogens were fairly decent for a 15 year old truck but these LED’s blew me away! This is the best set I’ve ever bought for any of my vehicles! Normally I hate the hi/low beam in one bulb but the high beams on these are outstanding, feels like I have a small light bar on my bumper and I can see everything when the hi beams are on! Low beams are great also, nice even light pattern, straight cutoff all the way across to not blind other drivers and they’re super white which I love! Helps me see a lot better!

First I want to clarify something. If you install these in a 99-07 super duty (if you have swapped the 05-07 headlights into the 1st gen SD like I did) you might find the fog lamps no longer work and it causes the high beams to come on. This is a grounding fault of the engineers at ford making the ground run through the blue high beam indicator lamp in the dash. There is an easy (ish) fix if you look it up. Which will also solve the fog lamps shutting off during high beam use.Okay, that’s out of the way for the Ford guys.Yes, these work, they have survived in a wet, salty environment for about 6 months without a problem thus far. Takes a little work to get the lights correctly adjusted so the high beams are not off in lala land (the low beams are bright enough to replace 99-03 normal high beams with the head light swap) so you have to have them lower than you expect. I will probably swap my fog lamps out for a set of LEDs in the future after this because I like them during the partial forever dark of AK’s winter.

These are the third set of bulbs I have put in my Ski doo 850 snowmobiles over the last few years and they work great. Always replace my stock bulbs with these to improve trail lighting conditions at night.

Plug ‘n play installation in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU (new gen Wrangler), no errors on the dash, visible cut-off line means you won’t blind oncoming traffic! Works great in the stock/OE headlight housing. I was reluctant to try an LED bulb in a halogen housing as I had heard LED lights aren’t designed for halogen housing and can causing light scatter and blind oncoming traffic, but these Beamtech H13 LED bulbs eliminate that concern while providing a much more quality light output. (Note: The light color is whiter than depicted in the photos. I was concerned the LED color would be a cheap blue tint, but they are actually comparable to the light color in our Kia Telluride or other OE LED headlights.) In the photos posted you can see a comparison of LED and halogen output on the garage door both showing the color variation, output, and cut-off. The LED bulb is keyed to fit and can only be installed into the housing one way. CAUTION: Be sure to remove the red gasket that is meant to seal the halogen bulb. Failure to remove the original gasket will make for a VERY difficult installation and can potentially cause you to break the tabs on the LED bulb! The Beamtech LED bulb has it’s own o-ring gasket preinstalled on the bulb. Great value, great upgrade, and so far no issues after several days of continuous usage.
