   The kit was very easy to install for a novice. The license plate holder is plastic, which concerns me. I feel like if I hit a bad pothole with the trailer and if the license plate would hit the ground at all, it would simply break off and be lost. I’m now looking for an aluminum or some metal license plate holder so that it has a shred of durability. The rest of the kit is great and easy to install. I accidentally dropped one of the brake lights and it hit the cement driveway hard. It hit hard enough that I was expecting it to be shipped, cracked, or broken. It was fine! I feel like the lights and wires are of a standard quality and will work well. I wish the side amber lights came in a plug/post style connection. Since it is a two post connection I have to figure out a way to install them on my trailer. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and I’m very happy with the price! For the rear tail lights, the instructions say to mount the ground wire to the trailer with a self taping screw. None of the included screws were self taping. Instead, I connected the ground wire to the taillight post that mounts to the trailer with a washer and nut. It provided plenty of grounding without the need to drill/tap a screw through the trailer frame.

   The lights work great as a replacement forThe typical square lights that you find on a small trailer. I replaced the wiring and lights on my neighbors trailer and it took me an hour and a half except for the run to the hardware store. The lights fit the existing brackets, the plug is pre-installed and looks waterproof but I have 4 complaints regarding this kit.1. If I put a screw into a trailer I want it to be made of high quality stainless steel and preferably self tapping. The screws that came with it were neither.2. There are nowhere near enough wire clips to hold the wire to the channel that made up the bulk of the trailers frame. They also held a single pair of wire only. I made it work but I could see how in some situations your wires would eventually be sagging below the frame.3. This kit, like many others come with wire nuts/twist on type connectors. While it might spare the end user from purchasing a crimping tool, most wire strippers already have them already on them anyway.I feel like they are a corrosion nightmare just waiting to happen. With all the bumping and jostling a trailer does eventually one of those wire nuts is going to end up facing the wrong way and start collecting water, corroding the connection. I purchased shrink wrapped butt splices and tossed the wire nuts.4. The kit needs a rubber grommet to protect the wire where it enters the tongue. It’s not going to be an issue with some trailers, it was on my neighbors.After purchasing the additional items to complete the project the right way I felt like the great deal wasn’t so great anymore. Of course you can always use what’s provided. I tend to be quite picky and you don’t need to be as picky as I am. The kit will probably work just fine without any issues.

   Don’t know why they didn’t include grounds from the plug all they way to each light. Now have 3 vulnerable ground connections, close to plug, and close to each light. Other than that, work fine and bright.

   The kit came with everything I needed aside from some zip ties. Overall really good quality for the price point. The kit was really complete with all the wiring etc.I’m pretty happy with the product. Lights are nice and bright and although plastic, they feel rugged and should last the life of my old trailer that I needed to update. I’d buy this kit again if I needed it.

   If you can find these trailer lights for 20$ I say yes! Good value. Much more than that and the consumer really begins to absorb the shipping costs from China to doorstep. They work. They are not fancy nor heavy duty. I am not planning to submerge them so can’t speak to how waterproof they are. I used a $5 Amazon Promotional Credit towards these so no complaints. Is it just me or is the Am a zon customer service really on the decline here?

   had everything hook up except side markers. they were too big to mount on 6×8 trailer bracket. i used solder seal wire connectors. i didn’t used cheap supplied connector that it came with. i assumed thats why some people couldn’t get it to work.

   Rewired a car trailer and used these. I put these in steel boxes that took a heck of a hit (unrelated) but even with the impact these kept working great. Took them on a cross country trip and they held up to the weather. The connectors it comes with are not weather proof, so either use your own or use heat shrink for best results. Don’t know if it matters, but I did ground these to the trailer frame, and I have a second ground wire running to every device on the trailer, these lights included.
