I bought these to use as temporary trailer lighting. They are very bright but not blinding, and the red and amber colors are automobile quality. Battery life is also great – at least two hours on a steady setting. However, I would not agree that they are “super magnetic” as it states in the product description. Without the weight of batteries they are not bad. Add the batteries and they aren’t as strong. Also, the batteries are AA, not AAA as indicated, which makes them even a little heavier. Using them as intended on a stationary vehicle they would probably be fine. I used them on a trailer bouncing down the highway. They are still very nice and bright lights for the price. I plan to purchase more to replace the ones I lost. I will just modify the black bodies and mount them with screws.

I’m comparing this light unit to a near identical First Alert light. This light is 31/2 inches vs First Alert 3″. Both lights have almost identicL brightness, can stay on without blinking or can blink. This light flashes at half the speed of First Alert. This light requires 4AA batteries vs 3AAA for First Alert. This unit has half the magnetic strength as First Alert, due to 4 batteries and overall size and weight. Both units appear to use the same magnet button.. This unit contains a thin gasket to provide some weather protection but i could not seat it to seal correctly after installing batteries. First Alert has built in seal which appears almost water proof. overall I would choose First Alert vs this unit due to magnet and seal issues. Also it might be more economical to use the First Alert unit. This unit will be fine if you can find a way to attach it securely. The quality appears good except the gasket issue.

Not too bright, but not bad for the price.

I bought this to put on my snow blower. Magnet is too weak to hold on to vibrating machine. I will build a holder for the light and it should be fine. The light is great for low light and dark conditions, disappears in bright sun light.

great piece as advertised. I use these as tail lights for electric utility carts and they have a good strong magnet to attach to the metal bumper and strong bright light that you would want in a tail light.Takes 4 AA batteries. Very easy to open, just give a slight twist to the left and reverse to close up.

Received yellow instead of red so returned light. It was small but bright. Magnetic back was somewhat effective but not for what I needed.
