   The trailer lights come with three machine threaded inserts. These inserts match up with the holes on the trailer light brackets. The right trailer light had one insert that wasn’t the same as the others. Since I couldn’t find anything in my scrounge pile to thread into it I had to drill a hole in my light bracket. Also, instead of using a bolt to thread into the light assembly, it just uses a small piece of all-thread about 1.25″ long. So, I put the all thread in with super glue and used three nuts to get them in snug to the light assembly.If you’re expecting an extremely user friendly experience you may be disappointed. If you have skills, you’ll be fine. The lights themselves do appear to be water tight. The wiring on the inside of the light is potted and the tail light assembly is one enclosure so it should maintain it’s watertight integrity. They are extremely bright.

   Lights were easy to install. I’m reserving my water resistant rating until I launch my boat again. All my boat use is in salt water which causes lots of corrosion problems for trailers and boats. So if these lights don’t leak (unlike the original water proof lights which did leak and were ruined by salt water corrosion) I will update the Water Resistance rating for this product.

   These trailer lights perfectly aligned and bolted onto existing brackets on my Bayliner boat trailer. The light housings seem molded from a fairly brittle plastic when compared to the tough, resilient OEM light housings. I didn’t detect any water intrusion in the housings after being submerged while launching my boat, but I doubt that the lights will hold up over time. I did not use the included wire connectors, which are not sealed. Instead, I purchased Solder Seal Heat Shrink Butt Connectors on Amazon (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07PXJ6S11?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), which are waterproof, easily installed, and worked great. The license plate bracket is molded from the same brittle plastic as the light housings, and the bracket broke off (along with my license plate) at some point during my first trip. Lesson learned: use the lights, scrap the license plate bracket. For the low price, these lights are a good buy.

   They work good and they look good. What I like best about them is that they’re bright but not blinding bright like some you see on the road. Highly recommend these.

   Nice equipment, the anchor lugs could be longer, and more locking nuts would be great, had to purchase both of these to attach item to my scooter hauler.
