I bought it for work, on expense account, but have not had opportunity to use it very much. Nonetheless, it seems to be very noticeable. I even have kayak racks on top of my Subaru Forester during warm weather (haven’t taken them off yet for cold weather) and even with the light partially obscured I feel like it’s very noticeable to motorists while I’m stopped in a work zone.I also like that it has probably more than a dozen flash patterns you can cycle through. Only improvement I would suggest is if it resumed on the same pattern you left it on previously– but that’s a very minor point.

One of these lights was purchased for a vehicle performing work on the side of the road. Mounting the light was as easy as placing it onto the roof, and the brightness outperformed permanently mounted units on other vehicles. The suction cups and the magnets hold this light onto the top of the 1999 Ford Ranger exceptionally well, to the point that they can be somewhat tricky to remove. The cord is long enough to get from the roof to the 12v plug in the truck’s cab without difficulty.This is perfect if you are looking for a light that will be used at low to medium speeds. I am curious to know how well this light would hold up to interstate speeds, as this light only experienced speeds up to 35 mph.I can’t recommend this light enough if you are going slower than highway speeds.

Visible light, but it needs a dry surface to stick well. I was hesitant to buy this light because the first model I tried was not visible at all during the day. However, this light was very visible. The energy draw was low as well. I left it on all day with no impact on my vehicle battery. The only issue I had was when I first installed it. There was a dew on the vehicle roof and though the unit adhered well, it would just slide around on the wet surface. This was due to the protective cups over the magnets. I solved the problem of how to power it when the truck was off by buying a travel battery. I charge it at night and it powers the unit all day. I also have an option on my truck of having some 12v plugs stay on even when the vehicle is off.

This is a great safety light to have on the work truck. Constantly hooking up to trailers, pulling in and out, stopping in the middle of roads and working on the side of roads, being visible is a high priority. This thing is brighter than a supernova. The magnifying lenses over top of the LEDs makes it seem way brighter and can be seen for our hundreds of feet if not a thousand. It’s so hard to choose what setting I want ,because that has so many functions I believe like 16 different settings. I’m definitely happy with the size of it and the length of cable, I placed it on the top of the roof of a 2001 Ford F-150 crew cab. The suction cups don’t work due to the grooves that go downward into the roof. But if you just squirt some E6000 high strength industrial adhesive on the pads where the magnets are, press down firmly. It will seat permanently forever, will hold on of speeds excess 85 miles an hour.
