The media could not be loaded. I run a semi-large retrofit business and we mostly specialize in 09-18 Ram Headlights. With both of the clear corner/smoked lense company’s no longer selling Ram parts, we have had to adjust to customer demand. We were looking for alternatives to VHT NightShades and we were hoping this was it. Unfortunately this vinyl tint, when applied internally, to headlight bezels/DRL lenses, it will peel and eventually lift, due to the heat of HID bulbs and lighting. Initially, the tint worked amazingly and looked KILLER in this set of AlphaRex lights, but after 2 weeks of being installed, almost the entire tint lifted in multiple spots. We were forced to reopen the customers lights and remove the tint, causing us to lose considerable amounts of money and time.Overall this tint is nice for external lighting use (maybe, we haven’t tried that) but when it comes to tinting internal pieces, this just wont work.

First off, Vvivid materials are great vinyls and this lens tint is no exception. There are great release properties to the film, no prep spray needed and it responds great to heat. Just a note on this specific product, the hex design is much smaller than is depicted on the ad. If you look at the ad you want to say the hexagons are about 1/4″ to 1/2″. The design is actually closer to 1/8″ hexagons. Other than that, this is a terrific product that can be installed by a beginner. Just be careful on your curves.

If you plan on driving at night, I DO NOT recommend using the Dark Hex Tint!!!!!I installed new headlamp housings, LED 10,000Lumen conversions and the Vivvid Dark Hex Tint. Driving around with low beams on was worse than using a flash light. When my High beams were on using LED’s, it was almost close to using low beams but still not bright enough. I don’t recommend this tint if you plan on driving at night with just headlights and no other lighting. I’m thinking of ordering the light smoked tint to try that instead.

I totally messed this up.. certainly it was my lack of knowledge on how to apply it. The film itself seems of excellent quality, I just messed up the first one and threw away the second one and had a shop do the tint for me.. if you trying it for first time buy 2 sets cuz you’ll more than likely need to practice learning through trial and error.i think It’s important to make sure you’re working/ starting from proper left/to right orientation depending on if your right or left handed . Good luck .. it is a good product if you can master the install you’re good to go. Not much too it , except a little trial and error

Easy to install. Night time driving is not bad at all. I have all led lights so that helps. I’ve always gotten vvivid vinyl wrap for my interior. I wanted to change things up, so I got the darksmoke for my headlights and foglights which there was more than enough to do both with the 60″ roll. I am extremely pleased with the results and I highly recommend and will keep buying from vvivid!!

Looks very cool but will darken headlights, decreasing nighttime visibility

Vvivid products are the best BUT when u buy from Amazon there’s a chance you get the wrong color like you might get this in light smoke like I did but the Amazon label said dark smoke.

I used this for my 4 side marker lights. During the day they are blacked out and at night, light still shines though. Just what I was looking for. Well worth it. I’ve washed the car 4 times and no issues with it.
